How to do it with ZERO
advertising budget

 Today, the focus is on advertising on a budget, or, more to the point, advertising with NO budget.
Now, there are TONS of different promotional resources and avenues out there on the internet
and ALOT of them are very good. Still even more of them are VERY expensive. ESPECIALLY to
the novice marketer. Now if you had read my previous article, you would know that I am not
exactly an "old-buck" at this. In fact, I have no more than a few months experience. However, I
come from several years worth of sales, retail and customer service experience in the real world.

  I can already here you yelling "Well, what good is that gonna do me, that is two totally different worlds!!"
You're right. It is. This is where I find myself with that. I came online about this same time (close to january
of last year, '04) and I was just screwing around. I had a job and unfortunate as it is, I was living at my
parents place. Heh, I know, pretty pathetic. So, what drove me there, at the ripe ole age of 32, was pretty
plain and simple. I had nowhere else to go! Now, I realise this is starting to sound a bit like a sob-story,
so let's get on with the meat of it. The knowledge that I am about to impart to you, is coming from the trials and tribulations of "never having what is necessary". Unfortunately in this world, what is necessary to make money is the having of and spending of....you guessed it, MONEY. If you don't have it, you are likely to
not get anywhere with generating a cash-flow.  Well, I tooled about on the internet for several months, researching this, researching that. Ya know what I found?

 A veritable gold mine! And one worth dipping into! Now I know that you hear that all the time, but really, the money is out there, it is just gettin to it. Or, more to the point, getting it to come to YOU.

  "Now, how the heck am I supposed to do that then?!" I can hear the exasperation in your voice, cuz so far, all I have written is a bit of background. Well, for one, as I researched, I started noticing that everywhere I went, I was typing my information into lil boxes, much like you would have done, to get this article. well, for advertising on the internet, e-mail campaigns are STILL probably the #1 choice, for most marketers. IF they have a list. Ahh, the list, you say...yes, the list. That one item, that if each and every marketer had it, and it was targeted to their niche, and was responsive (by the way, "targeted" MEANS "responsive"), they would have ZERO issues with upholding their end of things and making sales. Part of the reason so many fail is it's hard to get a list together unless you have a website for people to leave you their information (known as a capture page) or are paying...aha, the key we are avoiding, someone else to help build your list.

 Since the subject of this article is to shed light on free advertising resources, one of the things I wanted to touch on is Free for all pages. A.K.A. The F.F.A. Ya may as well avoid them. Why? Well, for starters, most of them aren't worth anything. there is only ONE Free for all page setup that I have noted to be worth even a fraction of the time that it takes to even set up and that is at Veretekk and is called Free For All Farm. Or FFA Farm for short.

 Well, if you must, you can join veretekks' system here, and you can post the link for your website on their
FreeForAllFarm website and it will stay. To date, it is the only Free For All that provides PERMANENT linking.
See, that was the issue of most others. Most free for all pages will only allow your link a certain amount of time before it gets rotated off. With Veretekk, because of the fact that you get your OWN Free For All page, for their Free For All Farm, YOUR link stays put and YOU get to provide the advertisement for everyone else. Now it IS free to join veretekk, but at some point, you will see the benefit of upgrading, but keep it free for now, it wont hurt.:-)

 Another thing that you can do, is take some time to write an article, something like this, on whatever niche it is that you want to write about, say, Dog Grooming...If you know ANYTHING about dog grooming and a certain question is constantly being asked that you have noticed, think of something that would solve that problem and write about it. Say, gnaps. People are always looking for ways to get the knots out of their
dogs' fur. Or cats' for that matter. That is a bit off subject though, so there is that. Write an article.

 What?? You don't know how to write? Well, dayum, why didn't you say so!;-) There are solutions for the
textually challenged as well! There are article directories, TONS of article directories, there are even courses out there that will give you re-print rights to use them in your own newsletters. Now, though free, the catch here is that much like this site, you must leave the author's name in the resource box, and much in the same manner, other elements must remain unchanged, such as leaving the content of the article in tact in it's original format.
All in all, these aspects are not that bad.

 Now, if you are going to write your own article, you need to be sure that it is properly formatted, beginning, body, closing. You also will want to make sure that all of your paragraphs are seperated and so forth. It isnt a "story", it's an article. There IS, believe it or not, a difference. And it's HUGE.

 You also want to make sure that it, ideally is between 500, to 780 words in length. It doesnt have to be that long, just long enough to get a point across. ALWAYS make sure that you leave an "resource box", that lil box at the end of the article that gives a tiny bio-blurb about the author, at the end of it, with your information.
Make sure that your info is complete, ALWAYS include not just your name and website, but a contact, or capture page e-mail address for them to write to. I personally prefer leaving My personal e-mail addy up,
just in case someone HAS to get ahold of me. I also, to add more credibility and show I am not hiding, that I
AM a real person, will leave my phone number on there as well.

 On another point of interest, is building a website and a capture page. A capture page is something that you build for the specific purpose of getting the ever elusive prospect to give you their contact information.
On that point, you will also want to advertise that capture page. Or, at least advertise an auto-responder, which, should you eventually get a capture page, you will have hooked to it.

 Auto-Responders. What are they, and why they are great. Well, simply put, an auto-responder, as the name suggests is a peice of software, either in your computer or web-based, that automatically detects when an email comes into it, and appropriately responds with pre-scripted letters to the appropriate e-mail addresses at an pre-determined span of time. Usually responders are set up to respond once a day to every address in their database. sometimes, the owner of the responder sets it up differently. It really is fully custmizable to your needs. Now, ALOT of web-based responders are free, with an up-gradeable option. Everyone that is on the net is on the net to make money. Even ME! Though, really, I feel I will make more money, if I help other people make money and that, is really how alot of them want to appear. They know that you will see more benefit from up-grading to a pro membership, than leaving things as they are, free. Now, this IS the case.
With the free system, you will inevitebly have to upgrade to pro, OR, join up with several programs that have auto responders.

 Also, another thing to do, seeing as you have no advertising budget, is realise that in order to get a lead capture page (essential), you will have to have a web-site. There are alot of hosting companies out there that offer their customers free hosting packages, and I am even on one of them. This website is hosted on a host that offers that for free. And, it happens to be one of the better ones. I hardly EVER suffer from downtime.

 Now that I have covered almost everything, remember, write an article, find some by signing up for subscriptions to e-courses and the like, and most of them will give you the re-print rights, go and do a google on "article + directories" and check out the top 20 hits.  Like I said about Free For All Pages is that in most cases, you should ignore them, as they are on the path of the dinosaur, but if you must use one, look here:

Meant to be free advertising. Veretekk also, won't rotate your link off, so you don't have to worry there. It's there for good.

 Last but not least, for certain is the building of a lead capture page and the linking of it to an auto-responder.
This is an essential step, if you want to gain any sort of traffic to your affiliate programs, and also, if you can, you want to find as many goodies, that people will give away, with re-print, re-sale rights, or Master rights, so that you can give them away, such as e-books and other software, reports and the like, so that you can embed them with your affiliate url's and catch someone as they read "your" e-book. You dont have to know how to write one, just know that you have the rights to do with it as you wish, and be able to modify it. Stuff it with your links and you will explode your sales, ESPECIALLY if you let other people give away your book as an incentive to their customers.
